Small positive steps......


I knew I wanted to make changes in my life that would support my overall wellbeing, but exercise never seemed to be my thing and honestly I had no clue where to start. Picking up my kit and hitting a local gym just seemed very alien to me. I wanted to make the change but do it in a way that worked for me. Then I met Ben, found I could manage this my way and the journey started.

I know that many coaches tailor their approach to the individual, with Ben I truly could see this being the case. My level of prior exercise was limited, he understood very quickly what I was looking to achieve and together we agreed that small positive steps would lead to a more permanent changes. The focus on technique versus volume of exercise was also key, perfecting the way one exercised to truly benefit from what we were doing resonated with me. Changing the type of exercise regularly also helped to bring in variety whilst still achieving our goals.

I can honestly say that there is nothing that I did not enjoy during our sessions. They were tough at times and Ben was focused on pushing me to a point to make sure I was truly improving. Clearly certain exercises I preferred to others and we adjusted the programme accordingly.  

The main thing that Ben has done as a coach that worked for me is the tailoring of exercise and positive encouragement. He also encouraged me to do my own activity and checked in on how that was going.I think that were it worked really well was the partnering up with individuals that are like minded and of a similar level of physical fitness, so we can have work out sessions together and benefit from seeing each other grow from a fitness perspective.   – Runjit Dosanjh

I have turned my life around......

Since working with Ben I have seen myself change in such a big way I can hardly believe it!  The workouts we do have gradually increased in intensity which has challenged me without me feeling overwhelmed. The reason I put off getting a personal trainer for so long was that I was worried I would find it too hard and be embarrassed.  I was worried a trainer would be shouting at me whilst I nearly passed out and hated every minute.  I need not have worried.  Ben has tailored his style to suit me, I even get to pick my own music playlists!


I have become genuinely enthusiastic and passionate about exercise (never thought I would say that). I also have the confidence to walk into my local gym in between sessions with Ben and know I am as capable and deserving to be there as anyone else.  I know I have good technique, I know what I am doing and I know why I am doing it – a far cry from the girl who used to completely avoid half of the gym as she felt so intimidated and had no idea where to start.
